Quote of the day

I was in school today when one of my teachers said the funniest quotes of all time. I had to share it!

"I don't kill flies but I like to mess with their minds. I hold them above globes. They freak out and yell, 'Whoa, I'm way too high!' "

Pitch Perfect: Review

As my birthday was in the middle of the week, I decided to celebrate it properly today. Me and my girls (yes, we call each other that) went to Pizza Hut and checked out the latest chick flick, Pitch Perfect. I L.O.V.E.D. it! Best girl-power-rules-over-guys film I have ever seen. My fav character has to be Fat Amy (Fat Patricia, LOL). And I was hyperventilating when their version of "Right Round" came on. I was genuinely amazed at how they mixed their music up so perfectly. If you have not seen it yet, I suggest you go and book your tickets right now.

Kes: Film Review

Hey again,
So today I watched the film Kes in Film Club and I must say that I was so disappointed! The actors were horrible (why was a 10 year old playing the role of a 15/16 year old?), the filming was terrible. The only positive thing I can say about it is that the story line was amazing and the ending made me cry. However, since it is based on a book, the story line already existed so there was no hard work put in by the producers in that category.
(Now there was a rumour going around that the bird they used was actually killed for the film, but I looked it up and found that this is untrue. They used a bird they found on scene).

This is an old joke by one of my classmates that even made my chemistry teacher laugh:
"My friend texted me last night saying, "Oxygen and Potassium are going out!"
 I replied, "OK" "

Birthday

Second post = Birthday post
I woke up this morning to the best alarm ever: my family singing Happy Birthday! After brushing, hugging and getting ready for school (yes, on my Birthday :-[ ) I cut my cake, which was devoured so soon I didn't even get a chance to take pictures! Then came the second best part ( the cake is always the first) presents!

I had been wanting a watch for absolutely years, but couldn't find one that is even close to satisfaction. So when I looked into the bag and saw the Rotary box and was close to fainting with delight! The fact that the watch was pink scored it some extra best-present-ever points. I loved it so much I even wore it to school and forgot all about my second present until I got back home. Yes, a John Varvatos parfum which I enjoyed test sniffing. It was a perfect winter scent and I'll review it in a future post.
So overall I had a great day, now I'm so stuffed I'll have to have double fitness before I lose all that chocolate cake.

Kay, so this is my first time blogging and there's really not that much to say other than how I never really thought I would be doing this, but I aware that everyone probably has the same thoughts so I'm just going to give you all a little taster on the stuff that I might post about.
So firstly, if I was asked to describe myself I'd say I'm a bookworm who loves watching films and painting her nails at the same time. This means, fellow readers, I'm going to often post about all three:books, films and nail polish.

Now I was sitting in my school library the other day when I notices a very battered old copy of Threads by Sophia Bennett. It is from the point of view of a character named Nonie and her two friends:  tomboy Edie and film star Jenny. Their lives turn into the biggest fashion show EVER when they befriend Crow, a twelve year old with a true passion for fashion (I know, clichéd). However, there is more to the hardcore Crow than they realise. So once the book gets through Hollywood Boyfriends, London Fshion Week, designer shoes and a long lost brothers, you really feel appreciative of all the things that you own.
Thats all for today and please comment and tell me which books you would like me to review as I'm more than happy to make time for reading.
