Hi to all my Vibrant viewers!
I'm so sorry for neglecting you guys! I've been so busy with back to school things and revision that I just have not had any time to do any swatches. However, I'm back again for this post so staaaay tuned!
Today I have OPI's Kiss Me On My Tulips with is a beautiful mid-toned pink. I think it leans ever-so-slightly on the purple side, but it's almost impossible to tell. I really enjoyed wearing on my fingers rather than toes and feel that it is a classy pink rather than an all out neon show off pink. I would say it is much more suited to the summer when all the flowers are in full bloom mode, but I think February would also be a good time to wear it as it the perfect I'm-so-in-love-with-you shade.
Since this is my first OPI, I have to say that I really like the brush! Also, the formulation was so easy to work with; the polish was touch dry in five minutes straight and it lasted an entire week! This colour did not really need two coats as it was completely opaque in the first coat, but I did put on two just out of habit. Overall, I have to say that my OPI collection is really going so grow with this year. If only it was less expensive and more readily available....

PS if you know where I can buy cheap OPIs that are genuine, please please please comment below and let me know.

Swatches!! Essie Naughty Nautical
Hi to all my Vibrant readers!!!
As promised, today I'm showing you my nail polish haul (view that Vibrant post here) swatches, sooooo I thought "Why not start with the one I've worn and loved the most?"
Here we have Essie's Naughty Nautical, a green-y blue with silver glitter. I love it so much I have already worn it twice in the summer (and that's a huge thing for me)!
The glitter in this colour is very much invisible when indoors, but as soon as you step into the sun shine its like an OMG moment where you cannot stop looking at your nails. My favourite thing about this polish is that it is a very versatile colour. Even though it looks very pool party type, if you work in an office of go to school, this can actually look very classy (as long as you stay indoors, that is!!).
I can't say that I have a dupe for this colour. It is very unique.
Indoors Outdoors (with sunlight)
I have yet to buy any other shades from this collection, but my eye is on Sunday Funday. Please let me know if its worth my £7.99. Don't forget to enter my poll for most excited about film, which is right at the bottom of my blog!
Boo to the ending summer holidays!!

Essie Naughty Nautical can be purchased at Boots stores (here) (oooh and click here for a discount) or Essie website (here)
Disclaimer: This Vibrant bottle of nail polish was bought by my own money and Essie is not paying me for any of my Vibrant opinions (I wish....)

Mini London Haul!!!
Hey Vibrant people!
I was in London for four whole days last week. It was not supposed to be shopping experience, more of a sightseeing-and-visiting-friends-experience. However, I really couldn't help myself and just had to pop into some of the shops. I didn't really buy much but here is what I did buy:
The Superdrug in London was having a special Barry M offer, where any 2 £3.99 nail effects were for £6. So I bought another Gelly Hi-Shine in Key Lime,
which is a lime-y green that is just perfect for spring and another Confetti Nail Effects in Liquorice,
which is black and white confetti in a clear base. I notices that a lot of other brands seen to be doing something similar to this but in a "dots" or "sequin" sort of version. I definitely saw a L'Oreal one and a Maybelline one.
When passing by Claire's, I saw this colour from outside (I know, the bottles are small so how in the world did I do that?),
so I kind of walked backwards and into the shop and purchased it. It does not have a name (or at least I couldn't find one so can please someone tell me, only if you live in the UK though because I know where the name is on the American one, where I can find the name because it is driving me CRAZY! Please...) but it is basically an extremely similar colour to Revlon Whimsical, which was limited edition (boo) so I was not able to get my hands on it, which is why I bought this instead. And at £3 it is an absolute bargain!
When we got bored of takeaways, me and my mum popped into Poundland for a quick snack and I spotted this. (Unfortunately, I was too excited to take a picture before opening it so I sort of placed them roughly where they had been and then took one...)
Now I have been behind a stamping kit for ages, but I really was not sure as Konad is not very readily available here in the UK and I didn't want to risk the fakes on Amazon. So when I saw this (for £1!) it was a lot like that moment in Ice Age 2 when Scrat (the squirrel) goes to heaven and spots the giant acorn and he sort of drops everything and ballerina-dances towards it. That was me! (don't know what I just said? Watch the clip here) I am going to post a little tutorial and how it was so keep an eye out and as I promised in my last post (here), I will be showing individual swatches of everything.
Stay Vibrant and don't forget to g+ and start following my blog for more Vibrant posts like this one,

Nail Polish Haul!!
Heya Vibrant peeps!!
The sun's shining and so are my nails, now that I've bought so many nail polishes. Just to let you know that I did not buy them ALL at the same time. I did buy them all this month, but at different times AND one was an online offer that came ever so slightly late (1 whole week! :-[ ), which is why I got it this month, but technically, I bought it last month.
Anyways.
I am very excited to tell you that my first few nail polishes are from a brand that is the best possible brand known for nail polishes.....(drum roll)......OPI!!
I was so happy to get all of these! I have been wanting to try OPI since forever, but it is very expensive here in the UK, especially for a school girl like me! Not to mention that where I live, it is also very hard to get hold of. However, this (and last-ish) month, I managed to find a reaaaally good deal on groupon where I got these five (the first five going from left to right) for only £20 (around $40). Considering that the are usually £11.50-ish each ($23), I was thrilled when I found this deal. So (again, starting from left to right) the first one is Pink Shatter, which is a pink shatter (duh!), then Black Shatter, third is Tickle My France-y which is a nice pinky-brown nude colour that I think is perfect for school, work and weddings in winter. The fourth polish is French Quarter For Your Thoughts, which is just a nice grey colour and lastly, I bought the classic pink, which I have heard sooo much about, Kiss Me On My Tulips, which is the best pink I have ever owned. I love how it's bright but not too bright.
You may notice that there are actually 6 OPIs in the picture (if you do, your IQ is above.....10), as I did buy another one when I went to Cambridge, as I came across a John Lewis that they have there. Now this was actually after I received the other five as wanted to know if they were genuine. I also really liked the quality so I bought and paid full price for Significant Other Colour, which is actually a sheer polish! When you look at it you see a nice violet purple, with a gold-ish sheen, but it is a layering polish.
*(swatches will be shown in future posts, follow me and +g me if you want to see them)*
When I went to Cambridge, I also found a Boots. Here I purchased my first ever Essie nail polishes.
Usually, an Essie nail polish costs £7.99 (so $16), but they were having a buy one get the other half price, which is the only reason I got two. The first one it Naught Nautical, which is from their latest summer which has the same name. The second one is Play Date, possible the most popular purple nail polish I have ever heard of.
Then I also bought a Barry M during this time as I had heard of their lovely confetti effects so I really had to get my hand on one.
The one I opted for was Sour Apple (second one from left), which contains green and yellow confetti in it. (Does this collection remind anyone else of Nails Inc's feather effects?)
So fast forward to the Thursday that has just gone past when I went to my local Boots where I purchased my second bottle of the Rimmel London Stay Stronger base coat and, since I had now collected ample points from all this nail polish purchasing, I treated myself to the Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat (which was £2 off!). I have not tried the Top Coat yet and there is a review coming up on everything mentioned in this haul including the next (rewind back to my Cambridge visit), which is an Accessorize nail polish in Nevada, it's a darker-than-what-it-is-showing-up-on-camera brown, with a gold shimmer in it. This was on clearance at only £2 ($4) so I just couldn't help myself. Originally, I had stepped into Accessorize to get myself a really gorgeous orange glitter nail polish, but it turns out it was a crackle! (Does that ever happen to anyone else? Where you really like a polish and it turns out to be a crackle?) So, with shattered dreams, I bought this one instead.
Until next time,

Book Review! Divergent by Veronica Roth
Hey Vibrant peeps!!
Hope you all are well and good. It's been a while since I've posted a book review as I haven't read a book in a while due to my exams.
That is, until now! Today I am reviewing a book called Divergent . I'm now going to start doing my reviews in a slightly different way so that I don't give the story away, but do give you a general jest of what's happening. First I'll give you a small summery of the first quarter-ish of the book and then tell you my most favourite and least favourite things about it.
You need to know that the series is set in a world were the people divided into 5 different personalities (factions) and those that do not belong to any of them (factionless). The five different factions are:
Divergent:
Beatrice Prior is into Abnegation. The story starts off with her being nervous about her aptitude test. This test lets the precipitant know which of the 5 they are most suited to, however, ultimately it is the person's choice to make as she tells her mother, "The tests don't have to change our choices."
We are then introduced to her brother Caleb, whom she believes to be the perfect Abnegation citizen. Her thoughts go on about things that are not significant to put on here, until she gets to the actual test, where Tori, her tester introduces herself. From the beginning, we get hints that Beatrice in does not see herself as a part of Abnegation. It is rather obvious that she is going to choose something else. Her tests only determine this, as she turns out to be a Divergent meaning her test was inconclusive and that she is made to be more than one thing. This puts her in danger (not straight away like "she-finds-out-and-they-start-shooting-her way, but more of a gradually sort of way). She could be either Abnegation, Dauntless or Erudite. She is told not to tell anyone and she begins to dread the Choosing Ceremony( where they choose their faction "duh!") even more.
Now if I told you what she chooses, it kind of ruins the book, but basically all you have to do is look at the book cover and read till the bit where she describes the Choosing Ceremony hall to know her choice. All I'll tell you is that she changes her name to Tris (BTW this is a HUUUUGE give away!).
So I'm going to skip, instead, to my favourites:
Character?
Caleb- He composes himself really well making me wonder if he himself is actually not a Divergent. Also, he is a bit mysterious (and, come on! Who doesn't like that?)
Scene?
When Tris wakes up to find herself in Four's bedroom.
Dialogue?
When Tris is asked why she picked ______ and she replies, "I told you. It was the food." (I'll explain. Abnegation were selfless so they ate tasteless food because they did not believe in luxury.)
Now on to my least favourites:
Character?
Al- I know he was supposed to be sweet and charming, but who and I mean WHO???? Tries to kill someone they supposedly love and care for. I hate to say this, but in a sense, I'm glad he dies......
Scene(s)?
When Peter "touches" her and also, with Peter and the whole towel business. (That guy is one mean pervert!)
Dialogue(s)?
Anything Eric says!!! And the bit where Al tries to apologise to Tris.
This book kept me very busy indeed for the whole one day it took me to read. Not because it was short, but because it was too damned good!!!! I loved it a lot, which is why I didn't want to reveal too much so you guys read it! (Please read it!!) This is honestly what I would call a Vibrant book and by the time you read this post I will have already read the second book so make sure you stay tuned for a review for that.
Did anyone else have trouble with Al's character or is it just me who found him a bit irritating and whiny? Also, do comment if you know any more books like this and the Hunger Games as I would love to read them.

June 2013 Next Wishlist :-D
Heeeey, Vibrant residents of Earth!
Do you ever walk into a shop and feel like buying everything there? Is that shop called Next? If so, then you will be glad to know that I had the same feeling when I went there this Saturday and really (and I mean really) fell in love with some of their tops and bags.
Both these colours are so perfect for this season! I love the light and lacy feel they give, but the best part is that you can dress them up with metallic shorts or go casual with some laid back skinnies.
Any school girl here will know exactly what I mean when I say that this bag is in. It has enough pockets to hold all my daily school essentials without looking like an over-stuffed cushion.
And lastly, here is my most favourite thing of all- a bright pink, mini satchel! Not only will it carry all my things, but it will also look great. What's that saying again? Two birds with one stone, hmmm...
I'd love to see what Vibrant things you guys have on your wishlist , add a link with your comment so I can see it (unless you are really good at describing..)
Have a great week,

Relax and Read: Company
Hey ya, Vibrant people!!!!
Hope you all are having a great week! Mine has been way too hectic and stressed out so I decided to take some time out with the latest issue of Company.
These are always filled with lots of fashion and makeup advice. They even do a page that is dedicated purely to nails!!!! On top of that, they give out lots of freebies, such as a makeup bag and some Garnier Moisture Match samples!!! They have their own shop, too (www.shopcompany.co.uk)!!! It sells all sorts of clothes, shoes, etc.
The July issue is still on sale for £2.50 (yes, the Nina Dobrew one) and you can get is at Morrisons, Asda, Tesco or at any well-stocked newsagents. I'm not sure if the magazine is available in the states.....
Have you read this months issue? If so, what did you think and do you think it beats the other hundreds of fashion magazines out there?

Review!!! Rimmel London Salon Pro
Hey ya, Vibrant people!!!
Hope you all are well and happy :)
Today I'm reviewing the new Rimmel Salon Pro nail polish range. I have the colour 227 New Romantic.
This is a very light pink that I thought was just perfect for classic (romantic) French manicure!
I really loved the colour and it was great for this design. I think a pink and white polka-dot is another called for design with this beautiful pink. It was not very streaky and dried in around 2/3 minutes, which is good for a polish that does not claim to be fast drying. The gel-like.consistency meant that it remained glossy throughout the week. The only thing I did not like was that it chipped quite easily even though the bottle says that it lasts up to 10 days. After only 3 days, I wanted to take it off because it began to look really messy, but I was caught up with my exams so did not get the time.
Overall, I think it was quite worth the price and the quality was average. I would buy more had the collection had more interesting/unique shades.
Have you tried the Salon Pro range yet? If so what shade?

Today I'm reviewing the new Rimmel Salon Pro nail polish range. I have the colour 227 New Romantic.
This is a very light pink that I thought was just perfect for classic (romantic) French manicure!
I really loved the colour and it was great for this design. I think a pink and white polka-dot is another called for design with this beautiful pink. It was not very streaky and dried in around 2/3 minutes, which is good for a polish that does not claim to be fast drying. The gel-like.consistency meant that it remained glossy throughout the week. Spring/Summer Nails
Hey all you Vibrant people and HAPPY Friday!!! I hope you all had a brilliant half-term, unfortunately, I had to spend it revising :'-[ (Boo). Luckily, I did manage to take some time out to do my nails in this gorgeous shade, Rimmel London 60 Seconds in Green With Envy.
I stuck some little stars on my thumb, on my left hand and my ring finder has green with envy layered over black polish (you can use any). I know the flash makes the black look very obvious, but I pinkie-swear to you that on my nails it looks just like an actual nail polish shade.
(The stars come in the Pink Tease Nail Sequin set, however you can find them in any drugstore, nail art/art supply store or even a pound/dollar store. They are usually very cheap and I know Clair's does them as well.)
On my right hand, on the thumb, I stuck on some more of the sequins from the Pink Tease set and used my Cien Nail Polish in Sugar Rose (read my review on it here) . On my ring finger, I just made some simple stripes from a nail art pen/brush set that I bought from Argos (I'll link it below).
And that's it. Let me know what you think of this design and have a great weekend. :-D

NEW! Cien Nail Polish: Review
Hey guys,
the weather is England at the moment is so lovely! It's sunny all the time and makes me feel like painting my nails a bright neon or coral shade. So when I heard that Lidl, a cheap food store in England that is often looked down one, has released a new makeup range for only £1.99 a product, I practically ran to buy three of their, on trend, S/S nail polishes.
The first one that I have here is Neon Coral.
For some strange reason this came up as a hot, bubblegum pink on camera, but in reality it is actually a bright orange with red-ish, coral undertones. I really like this on my toes with some blue polka dot on it. However, this stained my nails through a thick layer of basecoat so BEWARE.
Next I bought Berry Cocktail.
This is a beautiful holiday red, that has purple and pink undertones. It dries very glossy and looks very gel-like. But don't be confused, the formula is anything but gel. This shade looks great with a tan and is a bit more of a night-time, cocktail (duh!) party shade. It's also an exact dupe for Ciate's Dangerous Affair.
Lastly, possibly my favourite of them all, is Sugar Rose
True to its name, Sugar Rose reminds me of white sugar and light pink rose petals as it is rose pink with small shimmer. Its got a very candy like colour, but is not quite pastel. It's my favourite of them all and I'm more than glad I got it. Out of the three, this is the only colour that requires 2 coats.
Here I tested out this colour for 3 days:
2 coats of Sugar Rose, with only a basecoat underneath.
No chipping, what-so-ever, no loss in finish either.
Slight chipping around the side of my pointing finger (is that what it's called?), but not enough that I would get worried about being seen in public. No other differences really.
Cien has really outdone themselves with these polishes. They are very long-lasting (3/4 days) and that is without a top coat. I liked their medium- to thin sized brush and their formula is perfect, not too runny of too gloopy. It was extremely quick drying (60 to 90 seconds), even though the bottle did not say any such thing. The only down side was that Neon Coral stained my nail and that their colour range is limited to about 7-ish shades (one being clear) and the colours are not that unique. Though, for £1.99, I'm hardly going to complain.
As much as I hate to admit it, this nail polish is much better than many other drugstore brands like Beauty UK, which is around the same price range. I'm also tempted to say that it beats Barry M in quality, but not in colour range.
Have you tried any of these polishes? What do you think of them?

Cien nail polish- £1.99 available in Lidl stores
*UPDATE!!! I still love the colour of these polishes but after the first use, I didn't use them again until about a week. When I applied them (without shaking and with shaking), the formula was completely ruined and it had around a billion (so I exaggerated) air bubbles in it. I don't know what happened as I did close the bottles properly, I guess the quality just isn't as good. So disappointed! I really though I had found the perfect polishes :`-(

YR 11 Muck Up Day 2013
So I don't normally do posts related to school, but today was the Year 11's Muck Up Day, which is basically their last day, when they are allowed to do WHATEVER they want. (I know! Totes genius(!)) Unfortunately (totes predictably...), some of them went a bit overboard and yesterday , after school , they covered the entire basement in foam string! The basement is also where are lockers are so they were pretty dirty this morning. Also, they taped several lockers and, this morning many Year 7s were pretty freaked out. Now, some genius decided to bring something called Poo in a Can, which is basically exactly what the name says and this was sprayed outside the canteen (I repeat, CANTEEN, where people eat!) so that it pretty much stank of sh*t . Not to mention that is was on carpet, you know, the type that gets stained. Alongside all of this, they also scattered Bibles in areas of the school that are unreachable without ladders (like, what?!?) and they totally messed up the assembly hall by moving loads of furniture around. They stole clocks and filled my form room with plants (just don't ask...).
And that's not all, oh no, they used old pictures of teachers and edited them to write offensive comments (some were humourous...) AND, possibly worst of all, all the teachers in my were persuaded to hang a "What Mrs/Mr (insert name here) is reading right now?" sign outside their classroom. So the year 11s decided to merrily go and make fun of the teachers by changing these, one of them being changed into Fifty Shades of Grey, need I say anymore.
So at the end of the day, all the teachers were upset and so were all the Year 11s because they had to clean it all up, even the ones who were not responsible. Luckily, the Year 11 leaving trip that was planned that cheered them up, especially because the people responsible for the mess were left out from it.
Alls well that ends well. (They better wait till next year. When its OUR turn.)
Please follow if you want to hear what I do next year. And comment below and tell me of the crazy things that go on in your school. :-]

Rimmel London Apocalips: Nude Eclipse
Hey, beauties!
I bought this quite a while ago but didn't get time to post about it as I was busy studying for my exams, but I'm back now, for the time being, and I have here the shade 600 Nude Eclipse. This is the nude-est of them all (no surprise there, then). I love the packaging of the product. It just feels and looks very nice and luxurious, but not in the glamorous movie star way. It's more of a rebellious style. It's also very sturdy so, unlike with many others, the top part (?) of the gloss bottle does not crack or smash in my bag causing the gloss to leak all over my phone and other essentials.
The colour show is very great, though this particular colour only lasted about 4 hours on my lips if I applied around 2-3 layers and don't eat or drink anything. It comes out as very dark below, but on my lips it is very light and looks best teamed with a smokey eye.
My favourite part of this was probably the brush. I think I've finally found my dream brush as this one brushes on the colour in just one stroke and is so easy to control. Even around my cupid's bow!!!!
Overall, I would so purchase another colour (maybe a pink) as the darker colours are more pigmented.
Have you tried any of these colours? If so which one? Please comment below so I have an idea as to which one I should purchase next.
If you liked this post DO follow my blog.

Barry M Concrete Effects Kingsland Road : Review
Hey there beauty lovers, today I've got the (not so) new Barry M Concrete Effects in Kingsland Road all swatched up and reviewed for you.
When the textured effect nail polishes began to surface, I sighed and glanced back at my mostly empty piggy-bank. I really didn't want to spend too much on nail effects unless I knew that they were 100% worth it. Then, all of a sudden (duh, duh, duh!), Barry M launched their £3.99 textured nail effect and I, after quickly pinching myself to make sure I wasn't imagining it, went and bought one of them. My chosen colour is a pale pastel pink that looks a lot like Barry M's Strawberry Ice Cream from their "normal" (?) nail paints range. The entire effect takes up to two thick coats or three mid-thick coats to show up appropriately. Since I haven't tried any of the other colours, I don't really know if it's just the colour I picked or if it's like this with the entire collection.
The first coat was rather transparent, so much so that I got away with is in school (hehehehe). My tips were very visible as you can see in this picture.
Tips less visible. Check. Teachers spotted my polish yet. No...(one more coat to go)
Finally, after all my hard (and patient) work not only did this look not pass for school, but it also looked good. When I went shopping the next day, a few strangers asked me where my nail polish was from. This included a women who worked in Superdrug and I just stared at her like o-O .

So, overall I really liked the colour, loved the effect and for £3.99, I'm over-impressed, which is always a positive sign. The only down side to this polish was that I could not add a top coat as it spoils the effect so it wasn't the longest lasting (2 days and it began to chip :'( ). Other than that, I think I shall go and buy more of these since I've got my eye on Ridley Street (mint green). I might even splurge in the new nail art pens that Barry M has launched.
Have you tried these yet? If so, what colour did you use? If you liked this post please follow my blog.

The Host : Film Riview + Story Overview
Hey there film fans, today I watched the much awaited film, The Host.
I didn't consider even for a minute that the film might be even a quarter of a fraction as good as the book, but it was. I enjoyed it so much, I'm going to give you a very detailed description of what happened right here:
It starts with the planet Earth rotating in outer space and a voice explaining the alien invasion. The it cuts to a scene of a the non-host Meliney running away from the Seeker and some other hosted people. She decides that she would rather die than be caught so she jumps out of a window from the third or fourth floor of the abandoned hotel where the scene takes place. The hosted (people with aliens in them) people take her back and she is shown to have suffered a lot of damage, but is still alive. A healer heals her with some magical spray and inserts Wonderer inside her. The impatient Seeker begins to push Wonderer to remember Meliney's memories so that she can locate the rebel group, who are fighting against the aliens and who Meliney is part of. Wonderer begins to look inside her memories only to discover that Meliney is still there and is fighting her from the inside. Eventually, Wonderer stops giving out information to the Seeker because she discovers love through Meliney's memories of Jared and Meliney's brother, Jamie. She tears up a picture of the area where the rebels are. The Seeker hints her suspicion of Meliney fighting back by following Wonderer when she goes out so see a lake. She casually tells Wonderer that Jared, who's name Wonderer had already given to her, has been identified and might even be caught by her. This causes Meliney to take over her own body for a split-second and attack the Seeker, who sprays (...?) her unconscious.
When she wakes up, Wonderer is told by the Seeker that she will be transferred to another body and the Seeker herself will look through Meliney's memories before killing her. She is told to stay indoors until the next day when this will take place. Panicked, Meliney successfully convinces Wonderer to run away from there. They manage to take (not steal) a car from a very old man and then begin their journey to Wonderer's healer, whom she believes to be good. As they make their journey, Meliney shows Wonderer her memories and distracts her so that she can reach a desert, where the rebels' camp is supposed to be. Wonderer realises this as they reach the area as she has seen it in Meliney's memories before, but did not tell the Seeker about it because of her humane feelings. Her and Meliney argue resulting in their car crashing. Finally, Meliney says she has to find the camp in the desert because she promised Jamie she would come back. With no other options left, Wonderer begins to make the journey into the desert on foot, with a very small water bottle.
Meanwhile, the Seeker notices that Wonderer has escaped and begins to look through her belongings for clues to as to where she went. She discovers the torn up drawing of the desert and, using a super computer, manages to find the actual place that has been drawn. Then, she travels there at a very high speed in her shiny Volvo.
By now, Wonderer is deep into the desert and is exhausted and sun burnt. She drinks the last sip of her water and after a few minutes, falls unconscious because of the dehydration...

WE INTURUPT THIS BLOG POST TO TELL YOU THAT THIS BLOGGER HAS BEEN PERMANETLY TERMINATED FOR GIVING OUT SPOILERS. NOW YOU SHALL NEVER KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT UNLESS YOU READ THE BOOK OR WATCH THE FILM YOURSELF. HAHAHAHA!!!
__________________________________________________________________________________
Just kidding! But I seriously can't tell you what happens next because if any of you are like me, you will not watch the movie or read the book, which I really can't allow. So instead of telling you what happens, I'm going to tell you what I liked [:-)] and disliked [:-(] about the film.
Firstly, I loved how the story line was not changed and major main characters did not appear of disappear (Vampire Diaries, anyone?). Also, the Souls were so cute and magical looking that a expected a unicorn to make an appearance at some point in the movie (but, alas, it did not). An added bonus was that the film made me cry when the murdered Souls are showed and when Wanda says she will sacrifice herself. This may not seem like such a big things to you guys, but believe me, I hardly ever cry in the cinemas due to the lack of tissues around, so The Host should really get an Oscar and a standing ovation for that.
Now for what I didn't like... Where was all the romance?!? I mean, yes, there was a lot of kissing, but it was all unwanted and often without any emotion! Had I not read the book beforehand, I would never have known that Ian loved Wanda until he admitted so. Also, why was it that the only characters who were developed were Wonderer's and the Seekers? I totally understand that the film was aimed at those who have actually read the novel, but, like the Twilight Saga, they missed out a lot of character history. Also, why was Ian's face wearing the same expression throughout the whole movie ( including the smooching scenes) ? It was like the guy had no feelings whatsoever!
Minus the downsides, I really did love this movie and I kind of wished that the book had a sequel. Unlike others, I won't compare it to Twilight because you can't compare aliens and vampires with each other.
Also, before someone asks me, my two most swooned over guys in the film were Jared and Ian's evil brother (whose name I did not manage to catch due to all the sighs coming from my mouth). Do comment below and tell me your and also include why, I'm hoping there are others out there who fall for the villains.
And remember, if you liked this post then follow my blog.

Half Moon Manicure
Finally, I can enjoy myself and paint my nails because I'm on .....(DRUM ROLL).....EASTER HOLIDAYS(/VACATION for the Americans out there). So sitting at home, I decided to try something new with some stationary. Yes, those cute matching things we buy, but never utilise. Here is the result.
This was so simple to do, though you will have to excuse the fact that I accidently deleted the picture I took after I cleaned up the messy red polish with a cotton bud. All you need to re-create the look is three different colours of nail polish and the most-helpful-thing-ever-created-to keep-our-folders-intact, reinforcements.
These flat mini-donut like things (the only way I could come up with to describe them) are available in every good stationary store including W H Smith and Staples. The polishes I used were Rio Nail Art pens ( metallic collection- no names) the deep berry red one- Argos

Book Review:Threads 3 Sequins, Stars & Spotlights
Hey, so I know I haven't writen in a while, but I have been really busy with homework .... and reading. Now yesterday was Mother's Day here in the UK so do tell me what you got for the most important woman in your life.
Today's post, as you might know if you read the title, is about the final (sadly) book in the Threads series. This post will tell you the ending so please do not read on if you do not want any spoilers.
_________________________________________________________________________________
Ok, everyone ready? Steady? Read on!
Firstly, I must say that I did not exactly....like the ending. It was good, but not good good so I was a bit disappointed. Here I have summerised the ending seperatly for each character:
So Nonie has been getting distracted by the fashion industry lately and her grades are falling down, her mother is rather worried about her and threatens her that she might make her quit being Crow's Manager. In the end, though, Nonie manages to up her grades, land a job in Vogue and fall in love with sweet Liam (there is a boy called Liam in my street, too. He's not sweet. He's five and adores pulling my hair...).
Edie is starts to feel the stress and, eventually, gives up her dream to go to Howard. Instead, she hints that she will become a social worker (with the help of Jenny's mum Stella) and the last chapter shows that she and Nonie's brother, Harry, finally get together.
Jenny was asked to come and work overseas in a huge production. Meanwhile, at home, Edie discovers her huge secret ..... Her mum (Stella) has some form of deppression. So Jenny has to make a huge choice between looking after her mum and her kittens or starring in the latest New York musical? She chooses the broadway, but only after Edie promises to look after her mother.
Now taking her GCSEs, Crow is also given the hefty task of creating the wedding dress. However, much to Nonie's dismay (Grandma:HA! Take that Nonie!) Crow realises that she only took fashion because it is the closest thing to her actual passion, Art. So she chooses not to have her own fashion label, but is still satisfied.
In the first few chapters of the book, Harry proposes to Isabelle, but we soon see that it is not what he wants and that he is actually miserable. Fortunately, Nonie identifies this (and much to Grandma's dismay) manages to talk some sense into him before the Big Day. As I mentioned above, he and Edie get together in the end.
And the romance doesn't just stop there because Nonie's mum falls in love with their neighbour and he moves in with them in the end of the novel. I'm not sure how much I like him as he is not mentioned as much as I would like him to be.
Overall, I think this novel touches many issues that are present within life and relationships. Sophia Bennett succeeds in informing readers, not only how important change and choices can be, but also, how we should be open to both.
I have greatly enjoyed this triology and would recommend everyone get on their reading glasses and read the book. If you already have, then do let me know what you think.

Barry M Nail Paint Mushroom: Swatch
Hey, just a quick post to show you my latest nail paint that is actually quite old, but I only got around to buying it now.
Barry M Nail Paint in Mushroom
This is grey brown colour that reminds me a lot of OPI's You Don’t Know Jacques, only Mushroom is lighter. It is slightly slower drying that normal, but if you have asian/olive skin like me, it's SO worth it!
Let me know what you think,

Book Review: Threads 2: Beads, Boys & Bangles
This was an AMAZING sequel to an already amazing book. I read this quite a while ago and hadn't got around to reviewing it until now. So, firstly, my favourite character in this book was Edie and my most disliked character was Alexander because that is exactly how a boy should NOT be. I think the book was writen to show us that fashion isn't always glamorous and that there is a chance that the designer dress worn on the red carpets is actually made by a poor, 4 year boy from India, who suffers from Malaria and is only being paid 50p for doing so.
Also, Jenny's character really irritated me because she did not stand up for herself like any self-respecting girl should.

If you've read this, do tell me what you think and expect a review for the third and final book to come soon.
Have a great day,

Mini Haul: MUA Nail Constellation and MUA Fur Effect Nails
So last week I saw a good few people wearing fluffy bits (my first impression) on their nails so after a bit of searching I found a cheap way to re-create their look. For less. Both the products are for £3 from superdrug so £6 altogether, but I had saved up £2 on my reward card do I only had to pay £4 (there, I've done the maths).
So first I got the MUA Nail Constellation in Gemini
So this is basically like Ciate's Caviar Nails, but much cheap. Gemini is very pretty and has purple, baby blue, pink and silver beads in it. I haven't tried it yet, but from previous experience I know that this manicure only lasts up to about 2, sometimes 3 days. But it is perfect for Valentines Day.
The second (and last) thing I bought was the MUA Fur Effects in Boo Boo Fluff
This HAS got to be the cutest name in history. Its a beautiful skyblue/waterblue and the longer I stare at it the more I feel like visiting the swimming pool. I haven't ever tried this before so I can't wait to try it, but I have heard that it only last for 1 day. Alas, there goes my dream of having fluffy nails all week long.

Barry M Nail Paint in Nude, The Body Shop Eyeshadow and Rimmel London 1000 Kisses Lip Tint
Hey, hope you're all OK. I've been busy checking out these new beauty buys:
Barry M Nail Paint in Nude
And since my school thinks it's compulsory to ban nail polish, I have to resort to wearing nude paint. This particular shade sits very well on my nails and has the slightest hint of pink. It lasted very well and did not chip for a whole week and that was only when I went swimming. The only negative thing about this was that it five coats to ger a fully opaque colour, but still, I'm very impressed.
However, the one thing I did like was the colour and the balm. Many other bloggers complained that it was too drying, but for me it was quite moisturising. I even found myself using just the balm on my lips somedays.

The second thing I bought was The Body Shop Eye Colours in 38 (no name :-[ )
Now this is a great highlight colour that I would describe as a silvery blue. It is'nt the longest lasting eyeshadow that I have come across, but it is definately easy to blend and might last longer with the help of a primer or setting spary.
My most exciting purchase here was Rimmel's 1000 Kisses Lip Tint in Nothing But Nude
Now I have to admit that I was very disappointed in this product for two reasons. Firstly, it is supposed to be "transfer-proof" but ,in my case, is began to fade in less than two hours! That's before I even got to think about food or drink.
My second reason is that after my first use, the once soft tip applicator turned rough and hard and bits of it began to come off.
Overall I enjoyed trying them all out. If you have, too, leave a comment and let me know.
