Nail Polish Haul!!

Heya Vibrant peeps!!
The sun's shining and so are my nails, now that I've bought so many nail polishes. Just to let you know that I did not buy them ALL at the same time. I did buy them all this month, but at different times AND one was an online offer that came ever so slightly late (1 whole week! :-[  ), which is why I got it this month, but technically, I bought it last month.
Anyways.
I am very excited to tell you that my first few nail polishes are from a brand that is the best possible brand known for nail polishes.....(drum roll)......OPI!!
I was so happy to get all of these! I have been wanting to try OPI since forever, but it is very expensive here in the UK, especially for a school girl like me! Not to mention that where I live, it is also very hard to get hold of. However, this (and last-ish) month, I managed to find a reaaaally good deal on groupon where I got these five (the first five going from left to right) for only £20 (around $40). Considering that the are usually £11.50-ish each ($23), I was thrilled when I found this deal. So (again, starting from left to right) the first one is Pink Shatter, which is a pink shatter (duh!), then Black Shatter, third is Tickle My France-y which is a nice pinky-brown nude colour that I think is perfect for school, work and weddings in winter. The fourth polish is French Quarter For Your Thoughts, which is just a nice grey colour and lastly, I bought the classic pink, which I have heard sooo much about, Kiss Me On My Tulips, which is the best pink I have ever owned. I love how it's bright but not too bright.
You may notice that there are actually 6 OPIs in the picture (if you do, your IQ is above.....10), as I did buy another one when I went to Cambridge, as I came across a John Lewis that they have there. Now this was actually after I received the other five as wanted to know if they were genuine. I also really liked the quality so I bought and paid full price for Significant Other Colour, which is actually a sheer polish! When you look at it you see a nice violet purple, with a gold-ish sheen, but it is a layering polish.

*(swatches will be shown in future posts, follow me and +g me if you want to see them)*

When I went to Cambridge, I also found a Boots. Here I purchased my first ever Essie nail polishes.

Usually, an Essie nail polish costs £7.99 (so $16), but they were having a buy one get the other half price, which is the only reason I got two. The first one it Naught Nautical, which is from their latest summer which has the same name. The second one is Play Date, possible the most popular purple nail polish I have ever heard of.

Then I also bought a Barry M during this time as I had heard of their lovely confetti effects so I really had to get my hand on one.

The one I opted for was Sour Apple (second one from left), which contains green and yellow confetti in it. (Does this collection remind anyone else of Nails Inc's feather effects?)
So fast forward to the Thursday that has just gone past when I went to my local Boots where I purchased my second bottle of the Rimmel London Stay Stronger base coat and, since I had now collected ample points from all this nail polish purchasing, I treated myself to the Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat (which was £2 off!). I have not tried the Top Coat yet and there is a review coming up on everything mentioned in this haul including the next (rewind back to my Cambridge visit), which is an Accessorize nail polish in Nevada, it's a darker-than-what-it-is-showing-up-on-camera brown, with a gold shimmer in it. This was on clearance at only £2 ($4) so I just couldn't help myself. Originally, I had stepped into Accessorize to get myself a really gorgeous orange glitter nail polish, but it turns out it was a crackle! (Does that ever happen to anyone else? Where you really like a polish and it turns out to be a crackle?) So, with shattered dreams, I bought this one instead.

Until next time,

Review!!! Rimmel London Salon Pro

Hey ya, Vibrant people!!!
Hope you all are well and happy :)

Today I'm reviewing the new Rimmel Salon Pro nail polish range. I have the colour 227 New Romantic.

This is a very light pink that I thought was just perfect for classic (romantic) French manicure!

I really loved the colour and it was great for this design. I think a pink and white polka-dot is another called for design with this beautiful pink. It was not very streaky and dried in around 2/3 minutes, which is good for a polish that does not claim to be fast drying. The gel-like.consistency meant that it remained glossy throughout the week. The only thing I did not like was that it chipped quite easily even though the bottle says that it lasts up to 10 days. After only 3 days, I wanted to take it off because it began to look really messy, but I was caught up with my exams so did not get the time.
Overall, I think it was quite worth the price and the quality was average. I would buy more had the collection had more interesting/unique shades.

Have you tried the Salon Pro range yet? If so what shade?

Spring/Summer Nails

Hey all you Vibrant people and HAPPY Friday!!! I hope you all had a brilliant half-term, unfortunately, I had to spend it revising :'-[ (Boo). Luckily, I did manage to take some time out to do my nails in this gorgeous shade, Rimmel London 60 Seconds in Green With Envy.

I stuck some little stars on my thumb, on my left hand and my ring finder has green with envy layered over black polish (you can use any). I know the flash makes the black look very obvious, but I pinkie-swear to you that on my nails it looks just like an actual nail polish shade.
(The stars come in the Pink Tease Nail Sequin set, however you can find them in any drugstore, nail art/art supply store or even a pound/dollar store. They are usually very cheap and I know Clair's does them as well.)

On my right hand, on the thumb, I stuck on some  more of the sequins from the Pink Tease set and used my Cien Nail Polish in Sugar Rose (read my review on it here) . On my ring finger, I just made some simple stripes from a nail art pen/brush set that I bought from Argos (I'll link it below).

And that's it. Let me know what you think of this design and have a great weekend.  :-D
